Account & TeamOrganization Settings

Organization Settings

Your organization is the root container for all your data in Estavo. Every property, unit, transaction, and team member belongs to it.

Accessing organization settings

Go to Settings → Organization from the sidebar or via your account menu.

What you can configure

Organization name

The display name for your portfolio. Used in reports, email footers, and the dashboard header.

Examples:

  • Your legal entity: “Coastal Rentals LLC”
  • A portfolio label: “OBX Properties”
  • Your name: “John Smith Portfolio”

Contact information

Optional but recommended for reports and exported documents:

  • Business phone number
  • Business mailing address
  • Business email (may differ from your login email)

This information appears on generated reports and, in Phase 2, on tenant-facing invoices.

Time zone

Set your organization’s time zone. This affects:

  • When obligation due date reminders are sent
  • Dates displayed in transaction records
  • The Today view’s “due today” calculations

Fiscal year

Default is January–December (calendar year). If you operate on a non-calendar fiscal year, set the start month here. This affects how annual P&L reports are sliced.

Owners

Before you can add properties, you need at least one Owner — the legal entity that holds the property.

Go to Portfolio → Owners → Add owner.

An owner can be:

  • Individual — your full legal name
  • LLC — the LLC name (e.g., “Coastal Rentals LLC”)
  • Trust — the trust name (e.g., “Smith Family Trust”)
  • Partnership — the partnership name

Most landlords have one owner. Investors with multiple entities (separate LLCs per property for liability separation) add multiple owners and assign each property to the appropriate one.

Owners are not team members — they’re legal entities. Your team members log in with their own accounts. Owners exist for accurate financial and tax reporting.

Data export

You can export all your organization’s data at any time from Settings → Data → Export.

This generates a ZIP file containing:

  • All transactions (CSV)
  • All properties and units (CSV)
  • All maintenance requests (CSV)

Data export is available on all plans, including the free tier.

Deleting your account

To delete your organization and all associated data, go to Settings → Organization → Danger Zone → Delete organization.

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. All properties, units, transactions, and team members are deleted. Export your data first if you need records.
