Work

The Work view manages maintenance requests — from the initial report through vendor assignment and resolution.

What Work covers

  • Maintenance requests logged by you, a manager, or a tenant
  • Vendor assignment and contact
  • Cost tracking (linked to a transaction in Money)
  • Photo attachments (from phone camera or file upload)
  • Status tracking: Open → In Progress → Completed

Work vs. Money

When you log a maintenance expense, it creates both a maintenance request (in Work) and a transaction (in Money) — or you can link an existing transaction. This keeps Work focused on status and execution, and Money focused on the financial record.

Vendors

Vendors are contractors, service providers, and suppliers you work with. Each vendor has:

  • Name and contact info
  • Specialty / trade
  • Work history (all requests they've been assigned to)

Vendors are scoped to your organization — not a shared marketplace. You build your own vendor list.
