What counts as a unit
A unit is a rentable space. Examples:
- Single-family home = 1 unit
- Duplex = 2 units
- Triplex = 3 units
- 10-unit apartment building = 10 units
- Vacation rental cabin = 1 unit
Billing is based on the number of active units. Units on properties with status "Sold" or "Off Market" do not count toward your unit total.
Free tier
The free tier is permanent for 1 unit. There is no time limit and no credit card required.
The free tier is not a trial — it's the free plan.
Contextual trials
When a free-tier user reaches a paid-tier feature (adding a 2nd unit, using CSV import, accessing Schedule E export), a 14-day upgrade trial is offered. No credit card required during the trial.
At the end of the trial:
- Upgrade to keep the features
- Return to the free tier (your 1-unit data stays intact)
